About Northern Virginia

Before we dive into the Northern Virginia lifestyle, we want to get you a little bit closer to this part of the state. Here’s what you can expect after moving here.

All four seasons

You’ll be able to experience all four seasons at their best. This is great news if you’re moving from a place like Florida, where it’s the same heat over and over again. Now, you’ll be able to enjoy the snow and all the activities that come with it. However, you’ll need to get some extra clothes. Also, having all four seasons means that keeping your items in a safe storage unit sometimes is a little bit trickier. Just make sure that you find a reliable company to work with. This also means that you’ll have a smooth and colorful relocation at any time of the year, as long as you avoid the winter.

On the other hand, if you want to save some money during your relocation to NOVA, be sure to read about the types of moving estimates.

Airports are all around

One more great thing about Northern Virginia is that access to airports is incredible. Two major airports here are Dulles International Airport and Reagan National Airport. So you’re set wherever you want to go.

Close to D.C. and scenic terrain

Now, one thing you have to understand is that Northern Virginia has a lot more diversity and a lot more to offer than just the capital city. You don’t even have to live in the city if you don’t want to. There are many different apartment communities for everyone’s budget. So, even if you’re on a tight budget you will be able to find yourself a cozy little place here. On the other hand, then it wouldn’t be a bad idea to look into ideas for making your apartment larger. Shopping mall tradition

There’s really a lot of places to spend money in Northern Virginia. And we’re not even kidding. Shopping options are as diverse as people living here, which definitely is a good thing. There are many stores to explore and you’ll be able to find anything you’re searching for here. It’s also nice to know that moving anywhere in your area won’t affect the availability of places to shop for you because public transport is amazing here.¬†

After shopping, what every NOVA resident does is going for a Chic-fill-A. If you’re never heard about it, this is the most popular lunch stop on the East Coast. Therefore, it’s a great way to end a family day out.

Celebration of blossom is a part of the Northern Virginia lifestyle

There are a few festivals that celebrate the blossoming in Northern Virginia. The Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival is pretty much the largest and the most important one. Many families, teens, and couples are hurdling towards Winchester every year just to see celebrities, food and apple blossoms.

Our professionals from Zippy Shell Moving and Storage DMV¬†reminded us about one more thing. Even if you don’t live in Washington, you’ll have to visit it during the cherry blossoming period. Everyone knows about this and it became one of the most recognizable symbols of the nation’s capital. So, as soon as the spring comes, hop into your car and make sure to go and stroll through the streets of the city.
